Florence

I did five years in the U.S. Army (between 2003-2008) and two tours of Iraq. I figure I supported the troops somewhere in there.

Rosa

A friend in Austin texas has a robotic-operated welding company. The guy is a certifiable genius and is a generally good human being. Whether he likes or despises the cretin andministration in DC or not is unknown, but he is spending lots of his own funds - and those of his Texas good old boy buddies to help make the soldiers lives safer and easier. Read some of the things he has sent over and the notes of thanks from the soldiers he has received.
Also, Daniel is a heck of a kayaker, husband and father as well.

Milton

I enlisted for 6 years with the USAF, and will probably re-up for another 4 after my 6 is up. I can only hope that when I get deployed I'm giving a soldier who has been over there for a year the chance to go back home.

Kimberly

I personally volunteer with BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers) here on post. We send cards, letters, care packages, etc... I send emails to my husbands soldiers, including the ones no longer under his command. Simply put, I support our Troops by being their friends.
To be honest I focus more on the single soldiers because lots of them don't have the family support most married soldiers do.

Joan

I am one that truely supports the troops. I have sent many care packages. They know me at the Post office by my first name. They even open a line just for me. I send care packages to kids that have parents at war. They really love it when someone thinks about them. I go out to businesses and ask for donations for supplies. I help moms and wives when their love one leaves for basic training. I put a note of thanks on cars with POW plates on their car when I see one parked while shopping. I send cards of thanks to soldiers that are in the hospital at Walter Reed. I attend funerals of the fallen through out my state and pay proper respect to their love ones. I have a flag for every soldier KIA in my state, Each flag has their name on it, they line my yard, I do it to honor them, not make a statement. My screen saver is of 4 KIAs so I never forget to remember the ones that died so I would always be free. I wear a Flag pin on everything I wear. I put my hand over my heart every time OUR National Athem is played. I try to make homecomings for those returning from war that are close to my home. I buy a meal for those I see dining out in uniform. I take the hand of a soldier in uniform and tell them THANK YOU!!!!

Charlie

I would like to say Thank You.

Its really nice what you folks do for us military, even if you are for or against the war, at least be pro troops.

Support your troops, at least we are doing our jobs.
